Due to the fact that mum is moving to cambridge, we're having a huge clean out of the house so we can have a garage sale. We are verging on hoarders so we have A LOT of stuff to go through. We've ordered a skip and have a garage, and three bedrooms worth of stuff to go through. Yesterday we started on the garage and I thought i'd show you a few of my favourite things that I came across!
The first thing I found was my mums from when she was younger (and dare I say it, smaller). Although I think I should feel bit weird about coming across my mums 'sexy' night clothes, I am too in love with it to do so. The photo doesn't do it justice. It is a very light mint green, and so is the lace. The pink flowers in the lace adds a bit more of a pop, and the frills over the legs are so cute. I probably will never wear it as that would be kind of weird, but I just couldn't let her throw it away.
The second thing I came across was my year 9 diary. This was me in my 'I hate my life' phase and is all about the boys I am in love with yet have never spoken to them. Although year 9 was a very hard year for me and I had a lot of trouble with friends and self confidence, looking back on it now, stronger and happier, I can look back on it and laugh. Also, after reading through it, I saw that I've gone through it and edited it and added side notes at a late date, which makes me cringe even more. It also seems I had an, almost unnatural, obsession with ugly betty. I also created a quiz, questions included in it are 'Ur catchin the bus with ur bestie, there is a seat next to ur boyf or a set of spear seats. Where do u sit?' Definitely an embarrassing diary.
I then found multiple photo booth photos from when I was in year 10. This was when I first became friends with my current friends. I haven't done photo booth since then and I really want to for old times sake. We would do it almost every time we went out and I loved it. I think it is such a cute way to remember a day out.
The last is my favourite. I don't know whose it is because mum doesn't remember buying it, but I am in love! If you can't see, it says 'My Anything Jar' on it. I think it is adorable and such a cute idea. It is perfect for me to keep bits and bobs in and I think I might use it for my 365 day challenge that i'm doing this year (I'll explain that in another post). Everyone seems to be fans of jars at the moment and I am definitely one of those people!
Can't wait to see what other stuff I come across while cleaning up the house!
Ellie xoxo
