It's dinner time!
Last night, to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays, we went out for dinner in Takapuna. It's recently become a very social area and there are a lot of cool restaurants and bars there. We originally planned to go to a place called Blunderbuss, which is a fancy pizza place but, the pizzas were just a little to fancy for me (octopus and eggplant, anyone?).
Anyway, due to the fact that it is becoming more a hyped and fancy (in a good way) area, I decided to dress up a little bit. I made this skirt the day before yesterday and wanted to take it for a spin. I absolutely love this fabric and I really wanted to make a top out of it too, but I did not didn't have enough fabric. I wore the skirt with a loose knitted jumper and my coltrane boots. I gave winged eyeliner a crack but i'm not sure how successful I was, and popped on a bit of lippy to make me feel a little more dressy!
At the moment I am a huge fan of this style of skirt, and as I am a lot more body confident than I used to be I have the confidence to wear tight skirts that show of what ma mama gave me. I am such a supporter of body confidence and although i'm not 100% confident with myself, i'm getting there, and I believe that every single person should love themselves completely and utterly. I have friends who are very convinced that society sucks and that everyone is so judgemental and thats why people have confidence issues, and of course, to some extent that may be true, but I truly believe that if you go out in the world with complete love for yourself, that absolutely no one has a leg to stand on when trying to make you feel like you shouldn't. Other peoples mean, shallow opinions can't compete with self confidence.
Anyway, I'm so sorry that I have posted in so long, I finally found a full time job and i've been so so busy! I turned 19 last week and have been trying to organise everything for my trip. Me and my two best friends have decided to make a youtube channel to document our trip, so we've been doing some filming for that. Everything is getting very real and very close! I hope you all are well!
Love, Ellie xoxo
