I was lucky enough to be taken out for lunch and dessert by my best friend Nicky as a late happy birthday to me (as she was in Australia on my birthday). We decided to go to Ponsonby. It is a very nice area and has a lot of wonderful places to eat and shop (although, almost all are out of my price range sadly). For lunch, we went to a place called Freeman & Grey who has an awesome deal for $4 pizzas when you go at a specific time and they are good x3. I went for the garlic prawn pizza and it was delicious (despite the chilli flakes that made my mouth so so hot). The whole place is so cute and very reasonable priced!
We then moved on for pudding and man was it good! We went to a place in Ponsonby central called The Dairy and got treated to a ice cream sandwich!! It was ice cream (triple chocolate) sandwiched between two cookies (chocolate caramel and chocolate chip). Oh golly was it good, very hard to eat, but so tasty. It took me about half an hour to finish it!
After that, we decided to go for a walk about (to work of all the food we just ate?? who knows) and we found this mural. I have seen a few pictures on the internet of similar murals with the same outcome and I was so stoked to find one for myself! It is so clever and the perspective that would have been needed in order to make this work was spot on. I am in love with this photo!
For those of you who are able to, I highly recommend checking out the places I mentioned today.
Love, Ellie
